You’ll become enchanted by the unique array of plants and animals in Utah's Zion National Park, stare in awe at the massive size of Hoover Dam in Nevada, and criss-cross the streets of San Francisco to see Chinatown, Lombard Street, and the Golden Gate Bridge before you and your Passport ohana (family) make your way to the tropical paradise of the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii.
Movies you need to watch to get an idea of the places you’ll see on this trip:
- 50 First Dates (Adam Sandler helps Drew Barrymore remember her life in Hawaii)
- The Princess Diaries (Julie Andrews tells Anne Hathaway she’s a princess in San Francisco)
- La La Land (Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling seek stardom in Los Angeles)
IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?
While Pacific USA Trek is designed for active teens, the program is appropriate for most. Do not worry about needing to be super outdoorsy to enjoy yourself. The outdoor activities on the trip are only meant to complement the overall touring (most of which is still bus-based). The ultimate aim of Pacific USA Trek is to provide teens with a more active way to experience the United States through the beauty of its terrain. See you on the trails!
ONE HAPPY CAMPER This BBYO Passport summer experience is eligible for up to a $1,000 grant from One Happy Camper. The grant is available in select communities to teens participating in their first Jewish overnight summer experience. Learn more and see if you qualify for One Happy Camper.
